(Vision 2028: We & Nature)
Khalsa College of Education, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar under the aegis of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology as State Nodal agency and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Change, Government of India organized two days Environment Education Program “Vision 2028: We & Nature” on February 5-6, 2025. The event included six competitions and four workshops on environment related themes. The theme of the competition was in sync with the theme of World Environment Day 2025, ‘Our land, Our Future'. There were two categories of competitions for school and college students. School competitions included Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Rangoli and Best out of Waste. The event was inaugurated by Sh. Rajesh Khanna, Deputy DEO, Secondary Education, Amritsar and S. Narinder Singh, District Nodal Officer, Prof. Mandeep Kaur, Principal Khalsa College of Education, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar. First, second, third and consolation prizes were awarded in each event by S. Harbhagwant Singh Waraich, District Education Officer, Secondary Education, Amritsar, the chief Guest of the programme. Experts from various reputed organizations were invited as resource persons for the workshops. The events of the both days were entirely action-oriented, encouraging the participants to think and act in eco-friendly ways. The event was a grand success where more than 500 participants were made to pledge about adoption of sustainable habits in their life.
